Insomnia

Last night was the third night in a row that I've managed less than 2 hours of sleep. I'm okay but making curious cognitive mistakes, such as chucking the bread knife in the bin and putting the Utterly Butterly in the washing-up bowl in the sink. I also took my camcorder out this morning without a disk in it.

I went to bed at about 12.30, lay there for an hour or so getting incredibly bored, then got up and wrote until 4am. Fell asleep, only to be woken by my alarm clock at 6.

What did I write? Actually it's okay, not the garbled hallucinatory nonsense it could have been.

Famous insomniacs: Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher ("sleep is for wimps"), Vincent Van Gogh, Marilyn Monroe, Thomas Edison, Catherine the Great, Charles Dickens, Napoleon.

And Michael Jackson.

:/

I absolutely hate sleepless nights. I hope you can get some sleep soon.
